HAPPY NEW YEAR 2014

How times quickly time flies bye. It seems like yesterday that I was sending out my 2013 season greeting cards. We have welcomed into our home teenagers and their parents to explore their education/career choice. Thirty and fifty year old (young) men and women have made their way over to investigate their career/lifestyle options looking for a more meaningful balance in their lives.

If there is a single pillar of unchallenged conventional wisdom in education theory, it is that parental involvement is the key to a student’s success in school.

The most consistent parental involvement is talking to your children about their post-secondary school plans. Positive daily feed back to their children that school is most important and that good attendance and marks really do matter.

We are blessed to live in Canada where we have mobility to be an do anything we want if we but persevere because of a free high school education and very reasonable college/university fees.

The vast majority of our children that I counsel have good ability which added to a good work ethic and willpower they can be successful if they have a sense of direction.

Because of your very kind referrals I have been able to counsel families from: Vancouver, Whistler, Edmonton, Toronto, Scarborough, Richmond Hill, Hamilton, Stoney Creek, Burlington, Niagra Falls, Guelph, Kitchener, London, Dorchester, St Mary’s, Stratford, Hanover, Goderich, Kincardine, Clinton, Port Elgin, Lively and Ottawa.

I thoroughly enjoy receiving email from the families who I have counseled over the last eighteen years. It is my pleasure to be able to share in their life journey.

I want to extend my good wishes to you and your family for a Healthy Happy New Year.http://www.career-education.ca
