LIFE IS LIKE A JOURNEY ON A TRAIN

Recently my friend, Joe, sent along a beautiful, thought provoking message.

Life is like a trip on a train with its stations, changes routes and accidents. At birth we boarded the train and met our parents believing that they would always travel on our side.

This train ride will be full of joy, sorrow, fantasy, expectations, hello, goodbyes and farewells.

Success consists of having good relations with the passengers requiring that we give the best of ourselves.

The mystery to everyone is: we do not know at which station we ourselves will step down. People plan and God laughs. We must live in the best way we know how. It is important to do this because when our time comes for us to step down we should leave beautiful memories for those who will travel on the train of life. It matters not how long a person should live; rather how well they lived.

However, at some station our parents will step down from the train leaving us on this journey all alone. As time goes by, other people will board the train; and they will be significant i.e. our siblings, friends, children, and if fortunate the love of your life.

When you lose a parent you lose the past, when you lose a spouse you lose the present, when you lose a child you lose the present and when you lose a friend you lose part of yourself.

I wish you a joyful journey for the coming year. Most important that you thank God for the journey.
