NEW YEARS IS A TIME TO SAY THANK-YOU
The New Year is ending. A time to fondly reflect on the past and make plans for the future. The sages teach us that "people plan and God laughs".What did we learn from the Year That Was? What our plans for the coming year? A time say Thank- you.
There are many generous people in Dorchester who have taken the time to care. Thank- you to the Thames Center crews for ploughing the area roads in the blinding snow/ice storms to keep us safe. Thank- you to the sanitation staff of Miller-Waste Systems who take care of our garbage/ recyclables from our Blue Boxes.
Thank-you to the OPP officers who patrol our community and are there for us if needed; Thank-you to the Fire Department in Dorchester who volunteer their time to fight fires/ Carbon Monoxide poisoning; Thank-you to the Middlesex London Paramedic Service who respond in mere minutes to our 911 emergency calls; Thank you to the Ontario Hydro crews who restore our hydro when Mother Nature roars into the Village; Thank-you to our Doctors, Dentists, Chiropractors. Pharmacists, Victoria Order of Nurses who take the time to care for our health; Thank-you to the Veterinarians for tending to our pets; Thank-you to the Canada Postal workers who rain or shine deliver our mail; Thank-you to all of the dedicated teachers and staff at the Catholic/ Thames Valley School Boards for their dedication to our children’s education; Thank- you to the staff of the Dorchester Library;
Thank-you to all the super parents who are there for their children: Thank-you to the clergy who lift up our spirits; Thank-you to the Flight Exec Center staff who host the Dorchester Dolphin’s Hockey team and help provide a safe/clean environment for our children at the arena and swimming pool/playgrounds; Thank-you to all of the retail businesses who help us to shop in Dorchester; Thank you to the staff of the Municipality of Thames Center; Thank-you to the staff of the Singpost who inform the readers of the local news/politics/ church announcements in Dorchester and surrounding communities.
Gosh, I nearly forgot to say: Thank you to my wife Ella; I love you .
I suspect that being imperfect that I have neglected to thank some very nice deserving people.
